What is Psoriasis: |
| Psoriasis is a severe and quite irritating skin disease. Its clinical manifestation includes plaque psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris), pustular psoriasis, Zumbusch, psoriatic arthritis, erythrodermic psoriasis, and guttate psoriasis, among which the plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. It’s about the size of rice grain. At first, it appears as ordinary inflammatory papules and then the papules grow bigger and become well-defined red patches with inflammatory blushes around and basic infiltration, and are covered with many layers of dry silvery white scales. Scrape the scales off and the spotted hemorrhage will appear. The red papules or patches cause itching once in a while. Plaque psoriasis usually occurs in knees, elbows, scalp, limbs, sacral part and trunk forming patches as thick as the cow skin covering with a great deal of slivery white scales which let patients feel extremely painful and annoyed.

Clinical Manifestation of Psoriasis: |
| Every body knows that psoriasis is a commonly seen, stubborn skin disease, whose causes and pathology are very complicated; hence, it is even called the ‘immortal cancer’ in the medical field. Although rarely life-threatening, it sometimes causes powerful itching and lets patients feel painful. As the time of having psoriasis getting longer, some patients will also have severe diseases in heart, kidney, or the joints, etc. Few patients have pustular psoriasis - appears as widespread areas of fiery-red swollen skin covered with pus-filled blisters as well as sometimes cause fever and intolerance to cold, resulting in severe sequelae. And some of psoriasis patients have arthritis influencing many joints in the whole body, called psoriatic arthritis which will cause joint deformations contributing to movement difficulty when becoming severer. Most of psoriasis patients will become better naturally in the summer but become severer in the winter. The reason is that the weather in the winter is colder and in order to prevent body temperature from decreasing, the blood circulation will slow down and the sebaceous gland secretion of the dermis will decrease as well so that cuticle water content of the epidermis will reduce, resulting in skin dryness which will make psoriasis become severer. |
Factors Causing Psoriasis: |
| More evidences suggest that the direct factor causing psoriasis is autologous cells, which release many kinds of proteins that can damage skin surface and cause the abnormal skin cell division leading to severe skin disorders. Some of psoriasis patients’ white blood cells are mutated before psoriasis occurs. Besides, fatigue, severe cold, nervousness, fear, anxiety, hot temper, late sleep, insomnia, and depression will cause the disorder of physiological and skin metabolism resulting in the malfunction of the internal organs so that the immunity system will impair rapidly and cause psoriasis disease. Traditional Therapy: The treatment effects of the traditional therapy for psoriasis are not ideal till now. The treatment effects are limited because the general Western medicine therapy only focuses on the skin surface of the affected parts, yet 90% of the psoriasis are caused by the internal body. Thus, most of psoriasis patients will recover during the treatment period but will relapse after the termination of treatment. And the disease will become severer after relapsing, tormenting those patients. How to cure psoriasis completely becomes the major concern of every psoriasis patient.

Know the Cause to Prescribe the Right Remedy for Psoriasis: |
| According to our clinical experience, when our immunity goes down, due to the influences of the internal and external environmental factors such as diet, cold, the change of constitution and physical functions, and toxins, the pathogenic wetness and heat in the blood will increase. When our immunity goes up, the toxin in the blood will pass through the circulation system to reach the body surface, causing the increase of toxins in the subcutaneous tissue to form pathogenic heat factors. When these factors cannot be released from the body and permeate into the subcutaneous cells instead, leading to the metabolic disorders of the subcutaneous cells. This will result in the rapid division of the subcutaneous cells induced by these factors, so that cell growth cycle will shorten and cause pathological changes such as inflammation, exfoliation.

Psoriasis features manifold types and complexity: |
| 1.Blood-heat Type: |
| This type usually develops at the acute progressive stage. Its symptom is widespread rashes, developing fast in the shapes of droplet, patches, or combined. The rashes are red or deep red; the new rashes develop continuously covered by silvery white scales, which tend to peel off. Then the bleeding spots will appear and cause itching. |
| |
| 2. Blood-stasis Type: |
| The condition of patients with this type is stable. Their skin surface is incurable even after a long period of time, covered with patches. The patches are dark or light red with smooth skin surface similar to the shape of oyster shell. They are very dry and tend to split. The scales will thicken and peel off with unobvious bleeding in basal skin and the new rashes. The degrees of itching vary. |
|
|
| 3. Blood-dryness Type: |
| The main cause of blood-dryness type psoriasis is the consumption of nutrient-blood due to being skin for a long time leading to yin-deficiency and blood-dryness, and skin dystrophy. It usually develops at the stable chronic stage of psoriasis. The symptoms are long-term illness, and incurable skin surface, even after a long period of time, covered with spots or patches. They are dark or light red, and the new rashes are few. The degrees of itching vary. |
| |
| 4. Red Skin Type: |
| Patients have widespread inflammation and exfoliation of the skin. The longer of the course of the disease, the damaged area of the skin will get larger. The affected parts are deep reddish or dark red covered with slivery white scales easy to peel off and cause itching. |
|
|
| 5.Guttate Type: |
| In general, at the initial stage, it appears as small droplet-shaped spots somewhere on the body. After a period of time, the new wounds will merge with the old ones becoming patches. And if some of patients will have severe cold as well as sleeping late due to surfing the internet, their immunity will drop rapidly and result in the spread of spots over 90% of the body in one week, which panic and torment patients. |
|
|
| 6.Rheumatic Fever: |
| It appears in the limbs with scaly skin (exfoliation). After a period of time as of the occurrence of the disease, it’ll spread in no time. The affected part will be moist, and rotten, or have swollen and painful joints; and some of the limbs will be reddish and swollen. |
|
| 7.Sensitive Type: |
| The course of disease for every patient is different. Highly concentrated mung bean-sized spots or patches will appear around the damage skin surface. Due to taking long-term steroids, drug resistance will developrapidly in a short time causing the swelling in limbs as well as difficulty in movement. Some patients will be allergic to phototherapy, health food, or many medications, which result in feeling uncomfortable as well as the symptoms such as fever, and intolerance to cold. |
|
|
| 8.Pustular psoriasis: |
| The highly concentrated mung bean-sized pustules will show around the damaged skin surface. Some of them will be combined together into patches or scabs. It relapses repeatedly and causes fever and intolerance to cold, resulting in serious sequelae.
